Summary: This presentation will focus on providing visual access to the school curriculum and environment for the child with Cortical Visual Impairment. An overview of CVI characteristics will be given, as well as specific ways to adapt the student s daily activities based on those characteristics. Emphasis will be placed on supporting the students in gaining visual access to materials and the world around them. Presenter MaryAnne Roberto, CTVI Teacher of the Visually Impaired, has earned the Perkins-Roman CVI Range Endorsement. |
