Description of CE Program/Activity
73rd National Convention August 13th-17th, 2018Hello BVA Members, Friends and Family! The Blinded Veterans Association is excited to offer a unique opportunity for our ACVREP certified attendees earn continuing education units. The profession of blind rehabilitation shares a rich history with our returning blinded Veterans, where both consumers and providers created and transformed the services available. Through our Category I partnership with ACVREP we aim to continue this effort by ensuring participants from the VA s Blind Rehabilitation Services to community providers have the chance to learn from our esteemed presenters.During the BVA s 73rd National Convention, we are proud to offer up to 7.5hrs towards your next recertification during our educational sessions. These will occur on Monday, August 13, and Tuesday, August 14. CEU sessions will focus largely on leading trends and options for assistive technologies. The program is coordinated by William Boules and Timothy Hornik, who are both Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialists with years of personal and professional experiences. You do not need to be a CATIS to benefit from learning about the latest in AT, since each of the topics will touch upon all aspects of blind rehabilitation.
