Description of CE Program/Activity
This program will introduce basic leatherworking techniques and strategies for working with Veterans with visual impairments. Participants will practice appropriate techniques and complete a simple leather project as part of the course. They will also simulate instruction of persons with visual impairments with other participants. Time will be available for questions and discussion. At the conclusion of this CE activity the participant will be able to: Demonstrate an understanding of basic leatherwork tools and materials.Demonstrate how to use basic leatherworking techniques to complete a project.Demonstrate appropriate strategies for leatherwork instruction with Veterans with visual impairments.Understand resources and references available regarding leatherwork techniques.
