Description of CE Program/Activity
 Connecting the Dots: Using Best Practices to Bridge Literacy and Braille. 9 am-12 pmThis presenttion is BYOB (Bring your own Braille Writer) and other tactile materials-limited supplies will be available. Presenters Maura Guimon-Warren and Morgan Foreman will discuss typical literacy assessment for school-aged children and how to best accommodate for visually impaired learners and determine ways to stream line literacy instruction and braille instruction. Early Intervention: Topics include: Multiple Impairments, Tactile Communication, Resources/Review of Literature and Transition from EI to Early ChildhoodPresented by El Vista and Illinois State University Presenters include: Julia Bowman, Sara Edwards, and Marla Gartska.
