 This event is free of charge for attendees. Participants are only required to pay the cost of their own travel to Leader Dog's campus in Rochester Hills, MI.
Description of CE Program/Activity
 The dog guide as a mobility option is rarely a topic of priority in the University programs. Leader Dog has created a program to assist professionals and enhance their knowledge of the process by which one can ready the client for a Leader Dog and then provide services upon their return to the home environment. The program has been a great success and continues to receive praises from O&M professionals who attend. It will also include a presentation on Global Positioning Systems and training methodologies as well as specific techniques for working with individuals who are deaf-blind.
