Description of CE Program/Activity
The dog guide as a mobility option is rarely a topic of priority in the University programs. Leader Dog has created a program to assist professionals and enhance their knowledge of the process by which one care ready the client for a Leader Dog and then provide services upon their return to the home environment. The program has been a great success and continues to receive praises from O&M professionals who attend. It will also include a presentation on Global Positioning Systems and training methodologies as well as specific techniques for working with individuals who are deaf-blind.
