Georgia Vision Educators Statewide Training (GVEST) is an annual event to provide educators an opportunity to learn and to share effective practices and strategies specific to the needs of students with visual impairments. Multiple sessions are provided by state and national speakers, including Diane Brauner, Ed Sommers, Cindy Bachover, Sandy Lewis, Mickey Damelio, and Ike Presley. GVEST is sponsored by the Department of Education, the Georgia Academy for the Blind, Georgia AER, the Georgia Sensory Assistance Project, and the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency. |
