Starts on April 10 June 4, 2017 and runs for 8 weeks. Explore over 101 new solutions that can be created in five minutes or less using every day tools and materials. This course challenges new students as well as those who have taken Dr. Willkomm's "AT in Minutes" workshops or online course. Dr. Willkomm will discuss and demonstrate over 101 new assistive technology solutions that have been created since 2013.Each student will receive a box of tools and materials to use for fabricating 13 different assistive technology projects.The course consists of eight learning modules plus a final project in which students must fabricate a new solution to accommodate someone who experiences blindness, low vision or multiple disabilities.NOTE: Participants can take this course without taking Part 1.The course will consist of the following 8 modules:Overview of creating solutions in minutes using every day tools and materials.Exploring the amazing uses of specialty tape and hook and loop.Creating solutions using corrugated plastic.Creating solutions using PVC pipe.Creating solutions using Corner Guard, and sintra board.Creating solutions using InstaMorph.Creating solutions using Loc-Line.Creating solutions using foam covered wire.Registration cost includes $50 materials fee! |
