The BVI Supervisors Retreat is designed for supervisors of vision professionals to collaborate in the disability content of the field of vision and address the specific needs of supervisors to operate successful programs. During the retreat, supervisors will roll up their sleeves and examine topics such as the essential assessments, instructional delivery of the expanded core curriculum (ECC), providing effective supervision to teachers and everything in-between. The retreat experience will balance formal presentations with informal discussions to provide supervisors the opportunity to share successes and questions with fellow professionals. The goal of the retreat is to provide supervisors with effective practices and strategies to support local vision staff in the provision of quality programming to students who are blind or visually impaired and their families. |
