Description of CE Program/Activity
 Overview of Goals: Upon completion of this seminar participants will be able to: Educate clients who express an interest in working with a guide dog about the guide dog lifestyle, the GDB program and services. Determine the readiness of clients to train and work/live with a guide dog. Prepare potential guide dog users for guide dog mobility by:oAssisting clients with the transition from a cane to a guide dogoTeaching basic Juno work oWorking with clients to focus on sensory awareness and non-tactile travel involved with guide dog mobility. Assess an applicant s travel skills and report to GDB on these and other qualification requirements, (O&M report) Provide advanced orientation assistance to active graduates in the field by:oTeaching routes through the use of back-chaining & patterningoAssisting graduates with targeting objects/places when they choose to use the clicker with their guide dogs.
