This is the Southeastern Learning Circle put on by NMSBVI. The topic for this training will be "Blind Awareness"The purpose of this training is to share tips around working with individuals who are blind or low vision. This will touch on a variety of areas such as organizational skills, clothing, hygiene, eating skills, money management and other basic independent living skills. There will be a hand-out to be coupled with a PowerPoint that has scenarios of how these skills can be taught or addressed with the students who have a visual impairment. |
