DESCRIPTION: This meeting is designed for vision professionals to collaborate and participate in professional development activities with other teachers of the visually impaired or orientation and mobility specialists in the area. In addition, this meeting provides an opportunity for vision professionals in Kansas to seek technical assistance and support from the KSSB Field Services Department. TOPIC: The first meeting for 2016-17 topics will include: making decisions about technology, various methods and practice with the abacus, upcoming PD opportunities in the vision field, apps for the IPad with low vision students, and more There will be some time to share so please bring a show n tell . Also sharing with us on this date will be long time school psychologist Cheryl Tomson who can answer any questions about IEPs and assessments. |
