This year's conference will be presented by Dr Sandra Lewis. Dr. Lewis is a Professor and Coordinator of the Visual Disabilities program in the School of Teacher Education at Florida State University. Over the course of the two-day conference, Dr Lewis will cover how to assess students on the ECC, review available forms to document assessment, present an O&M screening TVIs can use during the ECC assessment, strategies for using assessment data to plan instruction and monitor progress, and collaborating with other agencies. Additionally, Dr. Lewis will perform a live student assessment so participants will see a hands-on application of the ideas and concepts presented. During lunch on Thursday, the staff of the SC Instructional Resource Center will provide a review session on placing textbook and material orders on their on-line ordering system. |
