The training is designed to advance clinical staff s competence in assessing, training, and recommending NuEyes - a head-mounted, hands-free wearable low vision device that provides Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology for individuals with visual impairment. The presenter will describe and demonstrate the functions of the device and allow time for a hands-on workshop in varying environments, to include, potential user assessment and participation. Attendees will evaluate the features, uses, and limitations of the device and discuss assessment protocol strategies and criteria for issuance. Time will be available for questions and discussion. |
