Presented by Karen Narvol, participants will discuss how the Listening strand of the Common Core Standards aligns with many state academic standards, and explore listening as a learning strategy for students with print disabilities, including sensory, cognitive, learning, and physical impairments. Through "audio supported reading," students can listen to learn, improve reading comprehension, and strengthen literacy skills. This webinar will also kick-off a moderated community of practice for Mentors through Bookshare's Google Group. |
