The presenters will discuss a variety of strategies, accommodations, and adaptations for teaching literacy to children who are deafblind with multiple disabilities. Detailed discussion will be paired with physical examples of materials. Some of these items will include example calendar systems, story boxes, adapted books, and experience stories. We will be addressing the needs of children who are totally deafblind, who have low vision, and children who have Cortical Vision Impairment. |
