Position Summary: The League is excited to announce the availability of an Orientation & Mobility Specialist position. This position is responsible for assisting the consumer who has lost the ability to travel independently. The O & M Specialist provides white cane travel training to consumers of all ages in indoor and outdoor settings, teaches consumers how to access public transportation and orients consumers to areas of their choice and/or need. Job Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the Job Description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. 

Education/Experience: Master’s degree (M.A.) in Orientation and Mobility from an accredited college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that qualifies the incumbent for certification as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist. Prefer a qualified person with a disability.
