At its regular quarterly Board Meeting held on December 4, 2014, the Board of Directors elected five new Board members to replace retiring board members and fill an open position. In alphabetical order the following new Board members were elected:

• Kevin Hollinger, COMS, M.Ed., M.A.
• Shradha Parikh, OD
• Elly du Pre, M.Ed., DPA
• Orli Weisser-Pike, OTD, ORT/L, CLVT, SCLV
• Patricia Wagner, CLVT, COMS, CVRT

The Board of Directors also elected officers for the 2015 calendar year. Serving as Chair will be Mickey Damelio; Vice Chair, Gale Watson; Secretary, Kathy Zwald; Treasurer, Elly du Pre and Executive Committee member-at-large, Usha Kumar.

The Board of Directors expressed appreciation to retiring Board Members Jay Stiteley, June Mansfield, Joe Maino and Susan Hundsdorfer for their years of dedicated service to ACVREP. Incoming Chair, Mickey Damelio stated, "We will miss the thoughtful leadership of those who are retiring from the Board, with their excellent service ACVREP has made tremendous strides. I am very excited to be working with such a highly qualified and experienced group of Board members as we move forward into 2015. We plan to continue the momentum of our retiring leaders, doing our part to better our field, and thus better serve people with visual impairment."
