In taking an ACVREP certification
examination, you have the following two options:
- You can choose
to take the exam at one of the proposed sites listed below. If you
choose this option, simply state the location and date on the Exam Registration
Form you are sent once you have been determined eligible to sit for the exam.
- You can choose
to take the exam in your own community, on a date and at a time that are convenient
to you. If you choose this option, please check the box on the Exam
Registration Form you are sent once you have been determined eligible to sit
for the exam. In choosing this option, you are responsible for finding an
acceptable testing center site (most of these sites can be located at www.ncta-testing.org)
and making arrangements with testing center staff to take the exam on a specific
date and time. Once you make these arrangements, note them on the Exam Registration
Form. Then complete and submit this form to the ACVREP office, with the $100
examination fee, at least three weeks prior to the date of the examination.
ACVREP requires this amount of time to confirm that the testing center site
is acceptable, to discuss roles and responsibilities with the proctor(s),
and to make arrangements for the examination(s) to be sent to the testing
center site. If you can’t locate a testing center site near you or don’t know
how to proceed, please contact the ACVREP office and we’ll take care of all
of the arrangements on your behalf.
Please note:
If there are three or more individuals taking an ACVREP exam at the same location
and time, ACVREP will cover any testing center and/or proctor fees. However,
if there are less than three individuals, the applicant(s) will have to cover
these costs.
